Reduction, reuse and recycling

Recycling officers recently hit the road promoting reuse and recycling initiatives to residents in West Moors and Christchurch.

A successful Give or Take day at West Moors Memorial Hall saw more than two hundred people visit the recycling event with a twist. Aimed at finding new homes for unwanted items, people brought along books, clothes, dvds, household items and tools for others to browse and take away with them.

The team also had a great response at a Blue Light roadshow in Christchurch. Visitors asked all sorts of recycling questions from how to reduce your waste to how to stop receiving junk mail.
