Go green this Father’s Day

by

As Father’s Day is just around the corner, we’ve come up with some top environmentally friendly ideas to limit waste and stop you worrying about what to get your dad or granddad this year:

  • Why not send an e-card, there are plenty of website offering free e-cards, so you can put the money you save on buying a card towards a little something for your father.
  • If you prefer to send a traditional card, remember to choose one made from recycled paper.
  • Try to buy gift paper that can be recycled – this should be plain with no glitter, holograms or foil.
  • Why not scour charity shops for the perfect gift, there are often some great yet inexpensive treasures to be picked up, which don’t use extra resources to produce.
  • Give your dad a experience rather than buying him a present. Dorset has a superb coastline and some great places to explore, so spend the day with your dad discovering them. You can even take a picnic along too.

If you have a great green idea, share it with others by telling us about it.
