Bridport HRC’s deep clean cancelled

by

The deep clean treatment due to take place at Bridport’s household recycling centre (HRC) this week has been cancelled.

The South Street facility was due to temporarily close for three days – Tuesday 5, Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 April 2011 – for essential maintenance and improvement works.

To make sure residents have full access to the facility in the lead up to the new weekend operating restrictions coming into effect on Saturday 16 April, the deep clean treatment of the site has been cancelled.

Instead we are arranging for a spring clean of the centre to take place. This will not require the site to temporarily close and the work will be undertaken by site staff during periods when the HRC is not busy.

From 16 April, Bridport’s HRC will open from 10am to 4pm on Saturdays (but to accept garden waste only) and will be closed on Sundays. These changes have to be made to comply with the recent planning permission which introduced the restrictions to address the noise and amenity concerns of nearby residents.
