Bovington First School are not silly sausages

Bovington First School (large version)The pupils and staff of Bovington First School have been working hard to reduce their waste this term. Activities have included conducting a waste audit to find out what is being unnecessarily being thrown away as well as installing compost bins to collect fruit peelings, paper towels and garden waste. Recently they have participated in the very popular “Finish your Food. Don’t be a silly sausage” competition where they managed to reduce their food waste by an impressive 41%.

“We are so pleased that all our hard work is beginning to make a difference” said Victoria Humphrys, deputy head teacher.
