Great Dorset Beach Clean 2013

The next Dorset Beach Clean will take place over the weekend of 21 and 22 September 2013.

April’s record breaking Great Dorset Beach Clean saw 923 volunteers turn out to clear Dorset’s beaches of litter.

The purpose of the autumn event is to identify  and categorise litter that has been left on beaches during the summer. Volunteers are needed to help with cleaning and monitoring beaches.

CapturingMyCoastOur friends at the Litter Free Coast and Sea campaign are running a competition for 14 to 18-year-olds with the chance to win a Kindle Fire.

It’s called Capturing My Coast and the judges are looking for the best photo, film or poem that celebrates your coastline.
